Senior Validation Engineer

Role Summary

The validation engineer tests manufactured Power Management ICs in lab environments, designs test benches and hardware, automates validation suites, and produces validation reports. The role is part of a cross-site Validation Automation Group within the Performance Power Business Division and reports to a local lead.

Experience Level

Senior; preferred 2–5 years of post-silicon bench validation experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver validation test plans, test benches, automated test suites, and reports for PMIC products; collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.

• Understand IC functional specifications and define validation strategy.
• Create validation test plans and design board-level hardware for test benches.
• Develop and maintain automated test cases and lab automation frameworks (Python).
• Execute tests, collect and analyze data, and produce validation reports.
• Debug unexpected issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Propose and implement improvements to manual testing and automation.
• Collaborate with circuit designers, software, QA, and customer application teams.
• Occasional international travel as required.

Requirements

• 2–5 years post-silicon bench validation experience.
• Expertise in power management applications and knowledge of voltage regulators (Buck, Buck-Boost, LDO), key parameters and measurement methods.
• Lab automation experience and ability to design extendable hardware test systems.
• Board-level analog and digital schematic design experience for PCBs.
• Proficiency in Python for lab automation and test control.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills; able to work with minimal instruction.
• Concise written and verbal communication in English; cross-cultural teamwork skills.
• Goals-oriented and able to deliver under tight schedules.

Education Requirements

University degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
