Senior Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Perform bench silicon validation of power-management ICs (PMICs), including hardware and software setup, test execution, and result reporting. The role sits on a Silicon Validation Engineering team and requires close collaboration with designers, systems, applications, test/quality, and product engineering.

Primary mission: prepare evaluation plans, execute measurements, debug issues to root cause, and deliver validated silicon results on schedule while improving test techniques and automation.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies 4+ years of post-silicon bench validation experience with PMICs.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include planning and executing silicon validation activities for PMICs and delivering documented results.

• Develop and execute evaluation and validation plans for PMIC products.
• Design, prepare and maintain bench hardware and software test setups.
• Perform measurements and characterization for DCDC converters and LDOs using lab instruments.
• Investigate failures, debug unexpected behavior, and identify root causes.
• Automate measurements and lab procedures using Python and test instrumentation.
• Document test results and produce clear engineering reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Systems, Test/Quality, Applications) to close issues and improve products.
• Deliver results within tight schedules and support team members as needed.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for immediate contribution.

• 4+ years post-silicon bench validation experience with Power Management ICs (PMICs).
• Medium/high expertise with lab instruments and measurement methods, especially for DCDC converters and LDOs.
• Ability to investigate and debug hardware and system-level issues to root cause.
• Medium-level expertise in embedded systems programming (C/C++).
• Proficiency in Python for lab automation and instrumentation control.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to support team members.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills; goal- and schedule-oriented.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience proposing and implementing innovative test methods or techniques.
• Board-level analog and digital circuit design experience (PCB schematic design, e.g., Altium).
• Experience supporting Designers, Systems, Applications, Test/Quality, or Product teams.
• Cross-cultural experience and willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
• Knowledge of additional languages.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
