Senior Test Operations NPI Engineer
Role Summary
Provide NPI Test Operations and engineering support for new product releases, focusing on test site readiness, yield improvement, and on-time test transfers across internal and outsourced Test Manufacturing Sites in Malaysia, Taiwan, China, and Korea. The role reports to Test Operations within the Operations Engineering Department (OED).
Experience Level
Senior. Preferable: more than 3 years' experience in high-volume semiconductor test manufacturing, especially in Probe/WLCSP and Final Test environments.
Responsibilities
Accountable for enabling successful NPI transfers and ensuring production readiness at test sites.
- Act as Test Operations interface to Product Groups across all NPI phases from engineering builds to mass production.
- Coordinate probe and final test site readiness and execute test transfers to high-volume manufacturing.
- Deploy new tester/handler technology and test solutions at manufacturing sites following test development.
- Plan and execute test capacity expansions (tester, handler, hardware) to meet production demand.
- Support daily test operations during pre- and post-NPI releases to ensure delivery of key customer samples.
- Develop and drive test strategies, RFQ test site evaluations, and NPI deployment plans.
Requirements
Core technical and operational skills required to perform the role.

Must-have: Familiarity with NPI product and development lifecycles and operations process flow (probe/assembly/test).

Must-have: Knowledge of at least one major ATE tester platform (e.g., Teradyne UltraFLEX/Flex, Advantest 93k, Cohu DMDX, SPEA) and pick/place test handlers.

Must-have: Strong understanding of test methodology for analog, digital, and power products, including failure analysis and reliability testing.

Must-have: Excellent problem-solving skills (8D, Why-Why analysis) and strong project management capabilities.

Preferable (nice-to-have): Experience in high-volume semiconductor test manufacturing (Probe/WLCSP and Final Test).

Nice-to-have: Proficiency with test equipment interfaces (hardware, change-kits, docking).

Nice-to-have: Proficiency in statistical/data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Spotfire).
Education Requirements
Minimum bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computing or a related engineering discipline.
