Senior Test Equipment Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing, improving and qualifying test equipment, hardware, software and manufacturing processes for test modules. Works with Manufacturing, Test, Process, Equipment and cross-functional teams to specify, integrate, optimize and qualify systems that improve yield, reliability, safety, cost and equipment utilization.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include equipment support, qualification, BKM deployment, vendor coordination, project leadership and continuous improvement.

• Support, evaluate, install and troubleshoot Test TOR equipment across sites.
• Develop, document and roll out Best Known Methods (BKM) and TOR procedures; drive compliance.
• Collaborate with Key Equipment Group, process engineering and maintenance on new process/technology integration.
• Work with vendors to resolve spares delivery, quality and performance issues.
• Lead and coordinate project priorities and activities within assigned areas.
• Monitor process efficiency and equipment OEE; identify and implement improvements.
• Track performance metrics, benchmark sites and share BKMs.
• Support equipment operating software, software releases and evaluate NPI and new technologies.
• Mentor site equipment owners to assume project responsibilities and support CST activities.
• Maintain awareness of equipment and materials safety concerns and address them with vendors.

Requirements

• Must-have: Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in test equipment engineering, equipment integration, semiconductor manufacturing, automation or equipment development.
• Must-have: Proven experience in equipment qualification, troubleshooting, process optimization, yield improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and process issues.
• Must-have: Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across global cross-functional teams.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, data analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools, digital solutions and data-driven decision-making.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support projects and deployments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is specified. The posting also specifies 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience. No Master’s/PhD, certifications, or explicit "equivalent experience" language was provided.
