Senior Test Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the MSB Test Engineering team responsible for supporting test operations, improving test equipment availability and efficiency, and enabling production deployment of testers. The role leads continuous improvement projects, tester setup/qualification, and leverages automation, data analytics and AI tools to improve equipment reliability and engineering productivity.

Responsibilities
Drive equipment performance, support manufacturing test operations, and deliver automation and analytics solutions.
- Improve equipment availability and OEE through FMEA, design/improvement projects, and problem analysis.
- Manage spare inventory strategy to minimize downtime and cost.
- Track equipment KPIs and produce dashboards and reports for management review.
- Automate test equipment data collection and assess equipment to reduce equipment-induced yield loss.
- Use data analytics and AI-enabled tools to detect degradation trends and improve maintenance effectiveness.
- Lead shift technicians and work with manufacturing to meet output and quality goals.
- Set up and qualify new tester hardware; coordinate logistics and facilities for deployments.
- Support product runs, validate applications, troubleshoot failures, and implement fixes and workarounds.
- Manage test-equipment hardware/software/process changes and associated documentation.
- Develop software/automation to monitor the test floor and identify opportunities for test-time reduction and productivity gains.
- Prepare training materials, conduct trainings/certifications, and coach team members on automation and analytics tools.

Nice-to-have
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance, Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or equipment health monitoring.
- Experience with data analytics, AI/ML, or digital manufacturing solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, SQL, or visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with automation, system integration, and common productivity tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Computer, Data Engineering, or a related engineering discipline; degree with relevant experience specified in the posting.
