Role Summary

Join the Automotive Test Competence Center (ATCC) in Dresden to develop and deploy test solutions across the product lifecycle from characterization and validation to high-volume manufacturing. You will design ATE test systems, improve yield and test efficiency, and serve as a technical lead within cross-functional project teams.

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of semiconductor test engineering experience.

Responsibilities

The role owns test development, deployment and continuous improvement for analog/mixed-signal products in production and validation environments.

• Develop and optimize test strategies and test patterns to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Design, implement and deploy scalable ATE test solutions (hardware and software) for production.
• Architect and maintain a modular, reusable test program framework supporting multiple products and platforms.
• Lead the design and validation of load boards and test hardware for high-volume manufacturing.
• Analyze and improve yield, cost-of-test (CoT), and product quality; ensure industry compliance.
• Support device characterization, correlation and performance analysis with system validation teams.
• Participate in cross-functional peer reviews and drive best practices and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience are listed below; desirable items are noted.

• Typically 5+ years in semiconductor test engineering, with ownership of test development and production readiness.
• Hands-on experience with ATE for analog/mixed-signal devices.
• Proficiency in ATE programming (C/C++ and Java).
• Knowledge of Design for Testability (DfT) concepts and implementation.
• Experience with statistical data analysis tools (Excel, JMP or equivalent).
• Experience in hardware debugging and measurement techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced global environment; fluent English (written and spoken).
• Nice-to-have: experience with Advantest V93k ATE platforms.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (for example Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar).
