Role Summary

The Senior Test Engineer develops and optimizes test solutions for semiconductor products. Works with test engineering teams to create and validate test programs, analyze results, maintain automated test equipment (ATE), and improve test coverage, throughput, and reliability.

Experience Level

Senior-level — typically requires 5+ years of test engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

The Senior Test Engineer will:

• Lead development and debug of test programs for product validation and characterization.
• Perform in-depth analysis of test data to identify failure modes, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
• Own test hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated test equipment (ATE).
• Document test procedures and specifications; produce technical reports on test coverage and correlation studies.
• Drive test time reduction and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining test quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support transfer of test solutions across sites.

Requirements

Key qualifications — separated into must-have and nice-to-have.

• Must-have: 5+ years of test engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Must-have: Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Must-have: Deep understanding of ATE test methodologies including digital, mixed-signal, and parametric testing.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Advantest V93K and/or Teradyne UltraFLEX/FLEX ATE platforms.
• Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with probe card and load board design, hardware bring-up, and correlation studies.
• Nice-to-have: Strong statistical background (PAT, SBL, SYL, GR&R) and yield improvement techniques.
• Nice-to-have: Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices across multi-site teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
