Senior Test Development Engineer

Role Summary

Develop and maintain RF test software and automation to support product characterization and validation for RF products. Work with Test Engineering and cross-functional teams to design test solutions from DC to mmWave, improve test capacity, and contribute to test engineering roadmaps. This position is based in Richardson, TX.

Experience Level

Senior (Professional). The posting lists a minimum of 1+ years of RF testing experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include building test solutions, automating measurements, and supporting characterization and validation activities.

• Design and integrate RF test solutions covering DC to mmWave frequencies.
• Develop, expand, and maintain automated test frameworks and APIs.
• Support setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test stations.
• Define and execute product characterization plans during development.
• Create test documentation, procedures, and reports.
• Participate in and lead cross-functional engineering test development projects.
• Contribute to SQL database development for test data and measurement storage.
• Implement software quality practices and bring testing earlier into the software process.

• Must-have: Experience with RF testing and RF test hardware (posting lists minimum 1+ years).
• Must-have: Proficiency in test automation and API development.
• Must-have: Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and C#; solid object-oriented programming knowledge.
• Must-have: Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test systems and operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Must-have: Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Nice-to-have: Load-pull measurement experience, SQA experience, SQL/database development experience.
• Nice-to-have: Ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance; limited travel required.

Education Requirements

BS degree (or greater) in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required.
