Role Summary
Senior technical lead responsible for customer-facing engagements supporting Security IC, MCU, and Display Driver IC markets. Owns complex technical opportunities and supports design-win execution in collaboration with sales, product marketing, design enablement, and technology development teams.
Acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating system and product requirements into GF technology, IP, and process recommendations while identifying technical risks and enablement gaps.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 8β12 years of semiconductor industry experience.
Responsibilities
Provide senior-level technical support across customer engagements and drive execution toward design wins.
- Serve as senior technical interface to customers in Security IC, MCU, and DDIC domains.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and tailored solution recommendations.
- Capture and translate customer product requirements, constraints, schedules, and competitive alternatives into clear technical plans.
- Coordinate technical discussions between customer engineering teams and internal GF experts; track and resolve technical issues.
- Support design-in activities from initial evaluation through tapeout readiness and post-design validation.
- Drive technical actions for design-win closure and partner with account managers to align technology and business objectives.
- Support demonstrations, benchmark analysis, and development of value propositions; identify technical risks and enablement gaps.
- Monitor market and technology trends and provide competitive/customer feedback to internal product and technology teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Design Enablement, Technology Development, Quality, and Operations.
- Follow safety, environmental, and confidentiality requirements; travel to customer sites and GF fabs (~30%).
Requirements
Must-have experience and skills required to perform the role.
- 8β12 years of semiconductor experience in areas such as IC design, system design, foundry customer interface, application engineering, or IC/system test.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor process technologies, design rules, design enablement flows, IP, PDKs, and EDA tools.
- Proven track record supporting customer design-in activities, technical evaluations, or design-win execution.
- Excellent technical communication, presentation, organization, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams and to travel internationally (~30%).
- Customer-facing mindset with sales aptitude and ability to translate technical capability into customer value.
Preferred (nice-to-have):
- Experience with Security ICs (secure element, payment, ID, eSIM), MCU platforms (automotive, industrial, IoT), or DDIC/display driver technologies.
- Experience with embedded NVM (e.g., eFlash, MRAM), automotive-grade requirements, reliability qualification, or high-voltage analog/BCD technologies.
- Ability to connect process/device capability to system-level customer value.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
