Role Summary

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) for VLSI will lead cross-functional execution of complex silicon development programs, owning top-level schedules, dependencies, and program health across ASIC/SoC projects.

This role is a horizontal program lead working with architecture, RTL, ASIC, software, systems and operations teams to ensure coordinated delivery from architecture handoff through silicon bring-up and productization.

Experience Level

Senior — requires substantial industry experience. The posting specifies 8+ years in semiconductor design or datacenter/consumer electronics (6+ years if holding a Master's) with a minimum of 3+ years of direct Technical Program Management experience.

Responsibilities

Own and coordinate end-to-end program execution for major silicon projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrate cross-functional schedules into a single, authoritative roadmap and maintain roadmap synchronization.
  • Serve as primary liaison across VLSI and partner organizations to manage high-level I/O and dependency interfaces.
  • Maintain the Plan of Record (POR), document scope and schedule changes, and communicate impacts.
  • Identify program risks and critical path items; develop mitigation plans and escalate issues to leadership.
  • Provide regular program status updates with clear options for decision-making.
  • Quantify program health using real-time KPIs and metrics; track progress against milestones.
  • Continuously improve program processes and workflows based on lessons learned.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program management qualifications:

  • 8+ years overall experience in semiconductor design or datacenter/consumer electronics (6+ years if Master's); minimum 3+ years direct TPM experience.
  • Proven experience across ASIC/SoC development stages from architecture to productization.
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical data into actionable project plans and to lead rapid development cycles.
  • Strong stakeholder alignment, negotiation, and presentation skills; able to influence senior engineers without direct authority.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and adapting schedules to changing priorities.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in pre-silicon development or hardware validation.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet for trackers and dashboards.
  • Proficiency in Python for automating project-management tasks.

Education Requirements

BS in Engineering or Applied Sciences or equivalent practical experience is required; Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent technical experience is accepted in lieu of a degree.
