Job Title

Senior Technical Program Manager

Role Summary

Coordinate and drive engineering execution for next-generation FPGA device rollouts across silicon, IP, software, firmware, validation, and manufacturing readiness. Work with geographically distributed teams in North America and Asia to deliver on schedule and mitigate technical and programmatic risks.

This is a cross-functional technical program management role focused on execution, schedule and risk transparency, and continuous improvement of program processes and reporting.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical background per posting: 10+ years in technical/program management roles and 7+ to 8+ years leading large, complex, cross-functional hardware and software development programs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include program leadership, cross-functional coordination, and delivery of silicon-based products.

  • Lead and manage large, complex technical programs from definition through production rollout.
  • Coordinate execution across silicon design, IP, software, firmware, validation, and system enablement teams.
  • Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, milestones, and dependency tracking.
  • Drive alignment and clear ownership across global teams in North America and Asia.
  • Identify program risks and critical-path issues; develop and execute mitigation plans.
  • Partner with engineering, product management, quality, and operations to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
  • Improve program management processes, tools, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide executive-level status updates, escalate issues, and support data-driven decisions.
  • Support silicon bring-up, validation, sampling, and production readiness by ensuring cross-functional execution alignment.

Requirements

Must-have technical program management experience and domain knowledge; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: 10+ years in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or Engineering Program Leadership roles.
  • Must-have: 8+ years managing complex, cross-functional hardware and software development programs (silicon, hardware, software, firmware, IP, DV, validation).
  • Must-have: Strong silicon/hardware design domain expertise with understanding of HW/FW/SW interactions and RTL/DV/system engineering.
  • Must-have: Experience across pre- and post-silicon phases, including validation, silicon bring-up, and debug.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated leadership across the full product lifecycle; ability to translate technical complexity into execution plans and manage dependencies and critical paths.
  • Must-have: 7+ years leading programs across multiple organizations and geographically distributed international teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Technical experience with transceivers, embedded systems (ARM), configuration/security, PCIe, Ethernet, or ASIC design/DV.
  • Nice-to-have: 5+ years working on FPGA, ASIC, or silicon-based product development programs and hands-on background in silicon design, validation, or software/firmware engineering.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall, or scaled execution frameworks in hardware-centric environments.
  • Ability to present program status, metrics, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership and executives.
  • Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline (as stated in the posting).
