Role Summary
Embedded software engineer responsible for developing firmware and higher-level interface software for custom in-house semiconductor test equipment. Work spans bare-metal firmware to embedded Linux and containerized applications, collaborating with electrical, control, and mechanical engineers to design, build, and support production equipment.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, and support of embedded software on physical hardware used in manufacturing and test.
- Develop and modify embedded software and system-level interfaces for custom test equipment.
- Write and maintain code in C, C++, Bash, and Python for bare-metal and Linux environments.
- Work on RHEL-compatible Linux distributions and containerized toolchains.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for designs and software.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams (software, electrical, control, mechanical) during design and New Product Introduction.
- Support manufacturing and field service teams: troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing equipment.
- Hands-on lab work: test and validate software on electronic hardware and measurement equipment.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and contribute AI-enabled process improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools, plus preferred qualifications.
