Senior-level. Requires 7+ years of experience in system validation for pre-silicon and silicon environments.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of system validation, integration, and failure analysis across hardware, firmware, and software layers.
- Define comprehensive system test plans with system architects and cross-functional teams.
- Lead system bringup, feature enablement, integration, and cross-component debugging in presilicon and silicon environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks and validation procedures for lab and CI environments.
- Perform complex failure analysis and root-cause investigations across HW/FW/SW.
- Apply AI and data-driven methods for debug, anomaly detection, log analysis, and test optimization.
- Implement and drive CI/CD practices for validation, improving scalability and execution efficiency.
- Use and support validation and lab tools such as Lauterbach, LeCroy, IXIA, and other advanced debug infrastructures.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence validation methodology and technical direction.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 7+ years of system validation experience in presilicon and silicon projects.
- Hands-on debugging experience across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or C/C++ and experience building scalable automation frameworks.
- Deep understanding of IP networking systems and protocols (TCP/IP, routing, traffic flows) and performance analysis.
- Experience with networking and debug tools (Wireshark, Scapy, Tcprewrite, NetCat, iptables, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation in validation environments.
- Strong system-level thinking covering embedded systems and HW/SW interaction.
- Proven experience leading test planning, estimation, and execution for complex projects.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to debugging, log analysis, or test optimization.
- Experience with traffic generators, protocol analyzers, or specialized networking test equipment.
