  • Design and implement power-management policies in system software for Tegra platforms.
  • Develop firmware focusing on reliable power management for embedded and datacenter SoCs.
  • Triage, debug, and resolve software issues across system stacks and applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute power/performance strategies.
  • Create and run test plans to validate functionality, performance, and power efficiency.
  • Detect, analyze, and mitigate energy consumption and efficiency problems.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience required to perform this role.

  • 8+ years developing system-level software and firmware for power optimization in datacenter, embedded, or ARM-based systems.
  • Proven experience building system software with measurable power and performance improvements.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and scripting (Python).
  • Deep knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and hardware–software interactions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience with performance/power measurement, tools development, and simulation/emulation platforms.
  • Familiarity with system-level architecture: topologies, interconnects, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and memory-mapped I/O.
  • Knowledge of DVFS, clock/power gating, clock sequencing, binning, and power/thermal budgeting techniques.
  • Experience analyzing, debugging, and tuning performance of complex system software stacks.
