Role Summary

Senior system software engineer responsible for architecting, developing, and debugging system software for NVIDIA Halos edge AI platforms. The role works across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor-based environments on mixed-criticality systems, collaborating with ASIC, firmware, OS, safety, security, and platform teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 8+ years of relevant system software and embedded/real-time systems experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include platform bring-up, BSP and I/O virtualization, safety-aligned development, and developer tooling for performance and debugging.

  • Architect, design, implement, and debug system software across QNX, Linux, and hypervisor environments.
  • Design and develop BSP, boot, drivers, diagnostics, I/O virtualization, and platform software for mixed-criticality systems on NVIDIA SoCs.
  • Bring up and optimize next-generation platforms; collaborate with ASIC, firmware, OS, safety, security, and platform teams.
  • Develop safe and secure software aligned to safety standards and maximize use of formal methods.
  • Design debugging, tracing, logging, and performance-analysis solutions to improve developer experience.
  • Use GenAI and AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate debugging, test development, code review, documentation, and workflow automation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; followed by concise nice-to-have items.

  • Must-have: 8+ years in system software architecture and development for complex real-time embedded systems.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals.
  • Must-have: Strong C and/or Ada/SPARK programming and debugging skills.
  • Must-have: Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, documentation, or automation.
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with debugging, performance analysis, and system analyzer tools.
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated contributor with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with QNX or RT Linux, virtualization, ARMv8 low-level software, formal methods (Ada/SPARK, TLA+), and development aligned with ISO 26262 / ISO 21434.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
