Senior System Software Engineer - DRIVEOS Platform Team

Design and implement system software for the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, focusing on safety, security, hardware bring-up, debugging, and developer tooling for automotive SoC-based systems.

Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Design and develop ISO26262 (safety) and ISO21434 (security) compliant system software for the DRIVE platform.
- Perform development and bring-up for next-generation Tegra SoC hardware and associated systems (including network switches and MCUs).
- Architect and implement solutions for complex issues spanning multiple components across a large software stack.
- Design debugging solutions and developer tooling to improve bring-up and development workflows.
- Apply formal methods to design and develop high-integrity software components.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 8+ years experience in device driver design and development on embedded systems.
- Proven understanding of computer architecture, operating system fundamentals, and Ethernet networking.
- Experience reading board schematics, diagnosing board-level issues, and coordinating with hardware vendors.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in Python, C, C++, and/or Ada/SPARK.
- Experience configuring and working with complex virtualized systems for their intended use cases.
- Effective team player; self-motivated and proactive in cross-functional environments.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with ISO26262 and ISO21434 throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience using formal methods (for example TLA+ and Ada/SPARK toolchains).
- Track record of taking features from inception to product following software development processes.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering is specified in the posting.
