Job Title

Senior System Software Engineer — CPU Platform Pre-Silicon Systems Validation Lead

Role Summary

Lead system-level validation for CPU programs in the pre-silicon phase. Based in Taiwan and working with US counterparts, this role defines system-level test cases, ensures tests are automated and executed before silicon, and builds tools that use AI to accelerate analysis and verification.

Experience Level

Senior — 8–12 years of relevant firmware or embedded engineering experience (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining, implementing, and executing system-level validation and building tooling to support those efforts.

  • Own system-level features for CPU programs during pre-silicon and drive feature readiness prior to silicon tape-out.
  • Define system-level test cases in collaboration with architects, team leads, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Ensure system-level tests are written, automated, and executed in the pre-silicon environment.
  • Work across varied code bases and modules to diagnose and resolve system-level issues.
  • Develop tools and automation to support test development, execution, and analysis.
  • Apply AI as part of the engineering workflow to accelerate analysis, tooling, and documentation while validating and applying engineering judgment to AI outputs.
  • Share effective AI patterns, prompts, and tools with fellow engineers to improve team productivity.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • 8–12 years of firmware or embedded engineering experience with demonstrable system-level work.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with architects, team leads, and broader engineering teams.
  • Experience working across multiple code bases and modules to solve complex system problems.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI to build tools and accelerate engineering tasks; ability to verify and override AI output when necessary.

Education Requirements

B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (the posting states "B.S. degree or equivalent experience").
