Role Summary

The Senior System Engineer is the technical owner of a product or major development program, responsible for delivering system performance from concept through customer validation and release.

This role coordinates Product Line Management, Applications, and R&D to translate requirements into a coherent system architecture, drive multi-disciplinary execution, and ensure the product meets performance, quality, and reliability targets.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 8+ years of experience in multidisciplinary R&D environments.

Responsibilities

Lead system definition, architecture, integration, validation, and product delivery across hardware, software, algorithms, and applications domains.

• Own end-to-end system definition from marketing requirements through product delivery.
• Translate business and customer requirements into detailed system and subsystem requirements; act as requirements gatekeeper.
• Make system architecture decisions and perform technical trade-off evaluations.
• Lead the engineering development plan and coordinate multi-disciplinary execution across System, HW, SW, Algorithms, Process, Applications, and Manufacturing.
• Manage product integration, qualification, alpha/beta readiness, and customer validation.
• Plan and lead system integration, verification, calibration flows, and customer acceptance activities.
• Identify technical risks early, lead mitigation and design/risk reviews, and drive issue resolution and escalation when needed.
• Communicate technical status, risks, and decisions to product management, leadership, and field organizations; support customer-facing and field escalation activities.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in multidisciplinary R&D environments.
• Proven experience leading complex system development programs and cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of system engineering, architecture, integration, verification, and qualification methodologies.
• Experience working with Hardware, Software, Algorithms, Applications, and Manufacturing teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership skills, and ability to influence without direct authority.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline (as listed in the posting).
