Senior System Design Test Architect
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior System Design Test Architect
Role Summary
Lead system-level test and design-for-testability (DFT) for NVIDIA Networking systems, defining production test architectures and ensuring test coverage, stability, and scalability across hardware, firmware, and software.
Work with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing partners, and suppliers through the full product lifecycle from pre-design to production ramp and end-of-life.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 5 years of relevant experience (DFT at chip/system level, board design, or system architecture).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining and validating production test solutions and driving DFT across systems.
- Define HW/SW/FW test plans, fixtures, and cable/harness requirements for production test setups.
- Drive DFT into product design from pre-design through development to influence testability.
- Develop and maintain testing specification documents and production test flow for each system.
- Validate test performance and stability using verification and validation (V&V) methods.
- Support production ramp-up, scalability, and quick resolution of ECR/ECO issues.
- Lead DFT risk assessments and implement mitigations to reduce risk.
- Analyze manufacturing and return-material failure data to identify and prevent quality issues.
- Evaluate and introduce new testing technologies and capabilities for next-generation products.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in DFT at chip or system level, board design engineering, or as a system architect.
- Proven experience with production testing processes and working with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
- Hands-on electronic engineering knowledge and familiarity with production/test process workflows.
- Experience producing test specifications and managing production test flows.
- Strong project management: manage multi-functional tasks and drive to completion.
- Effective communicator: present and justify test architectures to large audiences.
- Personal skills: proactive, well organized, multitasking, quick learner, and good interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with manufacturing data analysis using statistical tools, machine learning, or AI.
