Senior Sustaining / Industrial Test Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for sustaining, optimizing and validating production test solutions for Nexperia IC products in high-volume manufacturing. Ensures robustness, correlation and reliability of test programs across multiple global production sites and drives continuous improvement to support manufacturing quality and efficiency.

Senior-level. The role requires proven experience in sustaining or production test engineering in the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
Accountable for maintaining test program performance, resolving test-related failures, supporting production transfers, and driving improvements in test efficiency and quality.
- Maintain, optimize and validate production test programs to ensure stable, repeatable test performance.
- Investigate yield excursions, test escapes, inline failures and correlation issues across production sites; lead root-cause analysis.
- Implement containment actions and corrective measures to improve test coverage and prevent recurrence.
- Support industrialization and transfer of test programs, hardware and flows between global manufacturing locations.
- Drive improvements in test time, equipment utilization and parallel test capability.
- Ensure compatibility and correlation across multiple ATE platforms and sites.
- Support sustaining of load boards, probe cards and interface hardware; assist with tester, handler and hardware troubleshooting.
- Prepare and maintain technical reports, engineering change notices, test specifications and validation records.
- Contribute to standardization and cross-functional continuous improvement programs targeting quality, cost and operations.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required and preferred.
Must-have:
- Proven experience in sustaining or production test engineering within the semiconductor industry.
- Strong knowledge of Analog and Logic IC devices; experience with power-management ICs is advantageous.
- Proficiency in C/C++ or equivalent programming languages used in ATE environments.
- Practical experience with semiconductor ATE platforms (examples: Javelin J800, Magnum, ETS-88, Accotest).
- Ability to interpret PCB schematics and perform basic PCB/circuit-level troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills; customer-oriented mindset.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- PCB or circuit design experience.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators and curve tracers.
- Experience working with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
