Senior Staff Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior verification engineer responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end verification solutions for Vishay power products. Role is based in the Cork, Ireland engineering team and covers verification across the full product lifecycle from requirements through IC design, hardware emulation and silicon support.

Primary focus is on building a unified verification paradigm that verifies hardware, firmware and software together at system level and on driving adoption of that strategy across projects.

Experience Level

Senior — the role expects around 10+ years of verification experience in ASIC/SoC environments.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing verification infrastructure, leading verification efforts for products, and supporting cross-functional engineering activities.

• Design and develop a unified verification architecture for power products.
• Design and specify testbenches and verification IP.
• Construct testbench environments aligned with the unified verification strategy.
• Create full-system test plans emphasizing test-case portability across the product lifecycle.
• Plan, execute and report product verification status and coverage.
• Maintain engineering documentation per quality processes and track design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with product safety requirements and participate in related reviews.
• Use continuous integration tools for test-case integration and automation.
• Support test-engineering, product engineering and operations; participate in ATE data reviews, limit reviews and device yield analysis.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution; nice-to-have items noted where applicable.

• Must-have: 10+ years experience as a verification engineer in ASIC/SoC environments.
• Must-have: Experience with full-product verification flows covering HW, SW and FW.
• Must-have: Strong knowledge of OVM/UVM methodology and SystemVerilog; Verilog experience.
• Must-have: Experience verifying embedded processor systems.
• Must-have: Experience with Cadence EDA tools.
• Must-have: Knowledge of automotive verification practices and ISO 26262.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog-A/MS and power-conversion circuits.
• Nice-to-have: Experience working across varied roles and flexible environments.
• Strong problem-solving, communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

PhD, post-graduate or degree qualification in Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline (electrical/electronic engineering or similar) is stated as the expected academic background.
