Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and execute post-silicon validation tests for SSD chipsets during R&D.
- Develop, port, and run bare-metal software to validate Storage SoCs, including pre- and post-silicon testing of functionality, performance, and power.
- Create and review test plans, maintain test-result documentation, and produce validation reports.
- Develop testing and benchmarking applications for SoC validation.
- Analyze test results and identify issues requiring hardware or firmware fixes.
- Provide technical support to Field Application Engineers and Test Engineers working on customer support and mass-production tests.
- Interact with customers as required to support validation and debug activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications:
- Experience in hardware validation or applications engineering for SSDs or storage SoCs.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and ARM assembly; familiarity with 64-bit ARM CPU architecture.
- Firmware development experience in bare-metal and Linux environments and SoC-level debugging for embedded applications.
- Prior experience interacting with customers and providing technical support.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Understanding of SSD controller architecture.
- Experience with interfaces such as NAND, PCIe, NVMe, and DDR.
