Job Title

Senior Staff Test Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Test Engineer responsible for developing and validating automated test solutions for Marvell silicon across characterization, wafer sort and production. The role partners closely with design, DFx and product engineers to ensure testability, meet product specifications, and optimize test flows.

The position focuses on ATE test program development, hardware design for high-speed testing, and translating design patterns into production tester formats.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead development of ATE test solutions for characterization, wafer sort and production on Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne platforms.
  • Design and develop ATE test hardware and fixtures for high-speed digital testing.
  • Create and document test plans, methodologies, and verification criteria to meet product specifications.
  • Convert test patterns from design simulation formats into ATE-compatible formats and test programs.
  • Optimize test flows to reduce test time, remove unnecessary steps, and improve yield.
  • Collaborate with DFx, design, and product teams on testability reviews and to release production test programs.
  • Investigate failing units, define corrective actions, and implement improvements in test methodology and coverage.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and qualifications:

  • Proven experience with ATE testing, test methodology, and high-speed digital testing; strong familiarity with silicon process, DFT/DFM.
  • Expertise in test program development on Advantest 93K and/or Teradyne tester platforms.
  • Proficient in C/C++, Perl, and Python; comfortable in Linux environments.
  • Experience developing or specifying ATE test hardware and debug of high-speed interfaces.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work as an individual contributor and lead technical efforts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced engineering environment.
  • Eligibility to access export-controlled technology/information; candidates may be subject to export license review prior to employment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields is preferred.
