Senior Staff Test Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and maintain test programs and test hardware for characterization, wafer sort, and production of high-speed I/O products. Lead test development projects from bring-up through production ramp while collaborating with DFT/DFM and cross-functional teams to improve testability and yield.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Preferred 10+ years of experience in test development for high-speed interface products and NPI/technical leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain test programs for characterization, wafer sort, and production using Advantest V93000 (93K).
- Design, validate, and support test hardware solutions for high-speed I/O applications.
- Lead projects across all development phases from bring-up to production ramp.
- Collaborate with DFT and DFM teams to improve testability and optimize yield.
- Establish and implement test practices such as GR&R, HTOL, and characterization procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement of test coverage, efficiency, and quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across cross-functional teams.
Requirements

Must-have:
- Expertise in high-speed interface testing (PCIe, USB, DDR).
- Hands-on experience with Advantest SmarTest 8 software and V93000 (93K) platform.
- Experience in test hardware design for HSIO applications.
- Proven experience in wafer sort and final test environments.
- Working knowledge of communication protocols including I2C, I3C, and SPI (including trim implementations).
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-have:
- 10+ years in test development (hardware and software) for high-speed interface products.
- NPI test lead or prior technical leadership of complex test programs.
