Job Title
Senior/Staff Test Engineer
Role Summary
Member of the Test Engineering team responsible for developing production test solutions for RF/analog/mixed-signal SoCs and modules. The role partners with design, product, and manufacturing teams to deliver automated test programs, test hardware, and scalable manufacturing test deployments at global OSAT partners.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. The posting specifies 5+ years of ATE development experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and support test solutions across NPI and production ramps. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and deploy production test solutions for RF/analog/mixed-signal SoCs on in-house and commercial ATE platforms.
- Collaborate with design teams to create comprehensive test plans aligned with functional and reliability requirements.
- Design test hardware (load boards, probe cards) suitable for high-volume manufacturing.
- Drive test program development, optimization, validation, and release to production for NPI products.
- Lead first-silicon bring-up and silicon characterization with Design and Product Engineering.
- Perform data-driven root cause analysis to improve test time, yield, and coverage.
- Support volume ramp, site-to-site test correlation, and package-level test strategies.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve test processes and methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience (concise):
- 5+ years of ATE development experience (production/test program development and release).
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor test flows (wafer sort, final test, SLT).
- Proficiency writing embedded test firmware in C/C++ to support production testing and characterization.
- Experience with ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne UltraFlex, J750, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with RF, analog, and mixed-signal measurements.
- Experience designing test hardware circuits and PCB layout using tools such as Altium or equivalent.
- Proficient in programming with C++ and Python; strong debugging skills for test hardware and software.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with wireless SoCs (BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, Matter).
- Understanding of Design-for-Test (DFT), boundary scan, and BIST.
- Familiarity with test data analysis tools and scripting (SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with SiliconDash for manufacturing data analysis.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and version control (Git).
- Understanding of semiconductor process flows and their impact on test and quality.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is specified in the posting.
