Job Title
Senior Staff/Staff Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the digital design team to develop RTL and verification for highly integrated mixed-signal SoCs used in low-power microcontroller and wireless products. The role focuses on block architecture, RTL implementation, SoC integration, verification, and documentation.
Position is based in Singapore with a hybrid on-site expectation (office near Tai Seng MRT).
Experience Level
Senior level. The title indicates a senior technical contributor role; specific years of experience were not stated.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, implementation, integration, verification, and documentation.
- Define block requirements and architecture; produce block specifications with cross-functional teams.
- Implement digital blocks in RTL, following quality and coding guidelines.
- Integrate digital IP into SoC infrastructure: bus matrix, memory interfaces, clocking, power and reset management.
- Integrate mixed-signal and RF IP and support mixed-signal modeling and co-simulation.
- Develop block-level and SoC-level verification using directed, random, and assertion-based methods.
- Create embedded firmware to exercise SoC integration and validation scenarios.
- Participate in requirement, architecture, design, and verification reviews; prepare documentation and customer-facing materials.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven experience in digital block architecture and RTL design.
- SoC integration experience, including bus protocols, memory interfaces, clocking and power domains.
- Block-level and SoC verification experience; familiarity with assertion-based verification and testbench development.
- Experience developing embedded firmware for validation and bring-up.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with UVM or SoC-level verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with low-power implementation and Cortex-M-based systems.
- Design-for-test experience (scan, ATPG, MBIST) and DFT strategies.
- Scripting skills (Python, Perl, Tcl) and familiarity with AMBA/communication peripherals.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (explicitly stated). The posting allows equivalent practical experience.
