Job Title
Senior Staff SOC Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification of digital IP blocks and SoC subsystems for Wireless MCU products, focusing on simulation, formal techniques, and metrics-driven verification. Work within a cross-functional team responsible for architecture, design, verification, emulation, and implementation of low-power wireless SoCs.
Execute verification plans, build and run UVM environments, debug IP and system-level failures, and contribute to verification flows and methodologies to meet functionality, power, and performance targets.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Execute verification plans across block, subsystem, and SoC levels and improve verification infrastructure and methodology.
- Develop and execute block/IP verification plans; drive metrics-driven verification.
- Build UVM-based verification components and testbenches; develop constrained-random tests, scoreboards, and coverage models.
- Apply formal verification and static analysis (lint, property checks) as part of the flow.
- Validate block power and performance; perform gate-level verification and provide activity files for power analysis.
- Debug functional failures at subsystem and SoC levels, including chip-level tests for functionality, power, and performance.
- Architect and improve verification flows and methodologies for IP, SoC, and formal verification.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
Must-have:
- Strong experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, and C/C++.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and building complex verification environments from scratch.
- Advanced verification skills: SVAs, constrained-random stimulus, scoreboards, and coverage analysis.
- Experience with CPU subsystem and memory controller verification and familiarity with ARM or RISC-V architectures and bus protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python, Tcl, shell) and C-based testcase development and debugging.
- Experience using formal verification tools and integrating lint/auto/property checks into flows.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to improve productivity, analysis, or decision-making.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Flash/RRAM controller architectures.
- Experience with low-power verification and UPF methodologies.
- Technical leadership, mentoring experience, and strong written/oral communication skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
