Senior / Staff SoC / IP Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join Arm's Systems Development team to perform functional verification of SoC and IP subsystems (CPU/GPU/DSP, memory controllers, interconnect fabrics) and ensure correct integration with software. The role works across architecture, design, modelling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA and board development teams to deliver qualified subsystems for partners.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are verification planning, execution, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-quality SoC/IP products.
- Write test plans and define verification methodologies.
- Execute functional verification to meet quality levels and schedules.
- Work with project management and technical leads on planning, scheduling, and quality checkpoints.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, modelling, performance analysis, silicon validation, FPGA and board development teams.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers (expected for Staff-level engineers).
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Experience with embedded C/C++ based SoC verification environments.
- Familiarity with assembly language (preferably ARM), C/C++ and/or hardware verification languages such as SystemVerilog.
- Shell programming/scripting experience (Tcl, Perl, Python, etc.).
- Experience with verification methodologies (UVM/OVM, formal, low power, emulation).
- Exposure to all verification stages: requirements collection, verification methodology plans, test plans, testbench implementation, test case development and documentation.
- Practical experience verifying processor-based system designs.
- Technical team leadership, mentoring or coaching experience.
Nice-to-have:
- Understanding of Arm system architectures.
- Power-aware design and clock-domain crossing experience.
- Experience with embedded OS, device drivers, and microprocessor/embedded system hardware architectures.
- Experience verifying subsystems such as PCIe, LPDDR, HBM, UCIe, Ethernet.
- Development and deployment of large SoCs on emulation platforms.
