Senior Staff Project/Program Design

Role Summary

Lead cross-functional teams to plan, track, and execute new product introductions (NPI) from concept through market launch, ensuring ramp readiness, quality, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Position sits on the AI and infrastructure power product team and focuses on scalable program execution for controllers, power modules, smart power stages, and related products.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires extensive semiconductor experience: minimum 12+ years in the semiconductor industry and at least 6+ years as an NPI Program Manager.

Responsibilities

Manage program execution, stakeholder alignment, and product ramp activities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external partners.

  • Lead cross-functional teams (Design, Validation, Product/Test Engineering, Firmware/Software, Supply Chain, Procurement, Packaging, Quality) to achieve NPI milestones.
  • Plan, track, and execute end-to-end programs from concept through market launch, including ramp readiness and safe launch activities.
  • Coordinate and conduct formal project gate reviews to confirm alignment and readiness for each program phase.
  • Oversee wafer fabrication, assembly, test operations, and material logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective, high-quality execution.
  • Identify program risks early, define mitigation plans, and drive data-driven decisions to resolve issues.
  • Drive capacity-expansion initiatives across global manufacturing sites, aligning Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, qualification plans, and program management tracking systems; provide structured updates to leadership.
  • Implement process standardization and scalability improvements to strengthen execution discipline across programs.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to reinforce accountability and on-time delivery.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills required or preferred for successful performance in this role.

  • Must: Minimum 12+ years semiconductor industry experience and at least 6+ years as an NPI Program Manager.
  • Must: Proven track record managing end-to-end NPI/product launches, ramp readiness, and gate reviews.
  • Must: Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing flows, production processes, package architectures, and test/assembly operations.
  • Must: Foundational program/project management training or certification.
  • Must: Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Must: Highly analytical, organized, with strong problem-solving, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Must: Proficient in Microsoft Office and modern project management tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Module, Controller, and Smart Power Stages programs.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience at a wafer fab or assembly site as a process or integration engineer.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred.
