Role Summary
Lead product management for Qualcomm's camera SoC and reference-solution offerings targeted at the China market, covering handheld, IP/security, and industrial camera segments.
Translate China market requirements, regulatory constraints, and customer needs into product roadmaps, drive design wins with key customers, and build the local camera solution ecosystem in partnership with sales, R&D, and partners.

Senior-level. Typical candidates have 5–10+ years of relevant experience; the role requires several years of product management or technical marketing experience (minimums provided in company minimum-qualification rules).
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include market analysis, product definition, GTM, and ecosystem development for China camera products.
- Collect and structure China camera market requirements across consumer, security, and industrial segments; produce PRDs and market analyses.
- Represent China market needs in global product planning and roadmap decisions.
- Collaborate with HQ BU and R&D to tailor SoC specifications, optimize reference designs (EVKs), and adapt SDKs and features for China customers.
- Develop and execute end-to-end China GTM plans: pricing, channels, certification, sampling, and product launches.
- Engage with key customers to lead PoC validation, solution tuning, and support mass-production ramp-up to accelerate design wins.
- Track competitors and deliver competitive analysis to define differentiation strategies.
- Build and coordinate a China camera ecosystem involving distributors, ODM/OEMs, and solution providers.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for success in this role.
- 5+ years (typical) of product management, technical marketing, or senior application-engineering experience in semiconductors, camera modules/systems, or vision/imaging solutions.
- Proven track record of product success with action cameras, IP cameras, automotive, or industrial camera products.
- System-level understanding of camera technology stacks and ability to perform technical feasibility assessments and solution architecture selection.
- Experience with product lifecycle management, BOM cost modeling, pricing strategy, and Design Win processes.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute GTM plans and to drive Design Win conversion and time-to-market metrics.
- Strong bilingual communication (Chinese and English) and experience collaborating with overseas BU/engineering teams and China-based customers.
- Familiarity with China-specific audio/video, security, and data compliance standards and regulations (e.g., GB/T 28181, Cybersecurity Law, Data Security Law, PIPL).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is stated. A Master’s degree is preferred. Qualcomm's minimum-qualification rules also accept associate or high-school credentials when paired with additional years of relevant experience; advanced degrees may substitute for up to two years of required experience (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years).
