Senior-level. Typical experience: Bachelor's +5 years or Master's +3 years in product/test engineering for high-volume semiconductor products.

Responsibilities

Accountable for product engineering deliverables from NPI through launch and early production support. Key duties include:

  • Drive product engineering from NPI through launch and manufacturing ramp support.
  • Define guardbands, corner conditions, and ATE characterization strategies.
  • Plan and support product qualification and reliability testing to JEDEC/AEC standards.
  • Design burn-in hardware and develop stress-test patterns (HTOL, ELFR, HAST) for qualification and reliability.
  • Analyze yield, parametric, and test data to identify and resolve performance, cost, and quality issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for yield excursions, test coverage gaps, and customer returns.
  • Monitor production metrics across fab, assembly, and test to maintain product health.
  • Mentor junior engineers and improve methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience (degree requirements are summarized under Education Requirements below):

  • Proven product or test engineering experience for high-volume semiconductor products.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and scripting (examples: JMP, Python, SQL, R) and statistical problem-solving methods.
  • Solid understanding of IC manufacturing, test processes, and failure analysis.
  • Familiarity with analog/mixed-signal ICs or RF-enabled devices.

Nice-to-have / Preferred:

  • Experience with wireless or IoT SoCs (BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, Matter).
  • Experience with ATE platforms, lab instrumentation, wafer sort, final test, and system-level test (SLT).
  • Knowledge of ESD/LU qualification and reliability testing.
  • Experience developing automated test flows or data pipelines.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (required in combination with 5+ years experience) or Master’s degree with 3+ years experience. No other certification or specific field was specified.
