Senior Staff Process Integration Development Engineer
Role Summary
Lead development of process-integration methods and data analytics to enable robust high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. The role works with integration, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to improve yield, reduce variability, and deploy scalable monitoring and analysis infrastructure.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Typically requires 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience focused on process integration development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on identifying and resolving process-integration issues, building analytics infrastructure, and supporting manufacturing decisions.
- Lead data-driven identification, prioritization, and root-cause analysis of process integration challenges.
- Design and deploy scalable data analytics and inline monitoring systems for process control and excursion detection.
- Develop variability tracking and chamber/tool matching methodologies to detect systematic variation and reduce tool-to-tool differences.
- Build and maintain automated databases, reporting systems, and analysis workflows to support high-volume manufacturing and predictive analytics.
- Lead cross-functional technical projects from conception through implementation and foster collaboration across teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills for successful performance in this role.
- 5+ years of semiconductor industry experience with a focus on process integration development and customization.
- Experience in large-volume manufacturing environments and understanding of manufacturing processes and platforms.
- Expertise in device physics and/or interconnects and control of critical process parameters.
- Experience applying big-data analysis to identify and resolve process and manufacturing challenges.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project execution skills to lead cross-functional teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Project/program management and cross-functional team leadership experience.
- Experience in new technology development, FEOL/BEOL process optimization, and yield improvement initiatives.
- Foundry ecosystem exposure and customer-facing experience.
- Background in fabrication process engineering: lithography/advanced patterning, dry etch, wet cleaning, diffusion, thin-film deposition, CMP.
- Power-performance optimization strategy experience.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related STEM field. Preferred: Ph.D. in the same or related fields.
