Senior Staff Process Engineer

Role Summary

Lead qualification, assembly sustenance, and process improvements for Power QFN (PQFN) packages and Cu-clip thin-die assembly used in Smart Power Stage (SPS) products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to ramp production, resolve quality and reliability issues, and transfer new products to volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include process design, manufacturing ramp, sustaining, and supplier management.

• Design and develop processes to qualify PQFN packages for SPS products and related modules.
• Ramp manufacturing volume and qualify required sources and OSATs.
• Manage line sustaining activities to improve assembly yield, capacity, quality, and cost.
• Investigate and resolve internal and external customer issues with Test, Product, Quality, and Operations teams.
• Maintain product lifecycle management documentation and conduct change-management with suppliers.
• Partner with Quality and Reliability teams to meet internal, industry, and customer standards.
• Serve as the manufacturing engineering interface for NPI-to-production transfers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and competencies.

• Experience in process engineering or package development for thin-wafer handling and SPS solder-attach processes.
• Knowledge of quality and reliability requirements for PQFN/QFN, WLCSP, and leaded packages.
• Familiarity with SPC and statistical analysis software (for example, JMP).
• Strong English communication, analytical, written, and presentation skills; able to manage large projects effectively.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

Nice-to-have: demonstrated supplier/OSAT management experience, high sense of responsibility, and self-motivation.

Education Requirements

Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Physics, Chemistry, or Applied Sciences (degree level not specified in the posting).
