Senior level. Typical experience expectations: 9+ years with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6+ years with a Master’s or PhD; significant prior work on server/rack/appliance solutions and complex systems project management.
Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and validate system-level hardware and board solutions for data-center platforms; coordinate cross-functional execution with internal teams and external vendors.
- Define board-level architecture, produce schematics and BOMs, and oversee PCB layout execution and fabrication.
- Plan and manage board build process: component procurement, board bring-up, debugging, and testing.
- Perform hardware bring-up, root-cause analysis, validation, and documentation for IP validation and reference platforms.
- Collaborate with mechanical, system (rack/chassis), electrical, manufacturing, and test teams to resolve system-level issues.
- Work with vendors and suppliers; act as primary technical contact for board manufacturing and system integration.
- Manage schedules and drive cross-functional resources to meet milestones and deliverables.
- Keep current with industry advances by collaborating with peers and suppliers.

- 5–10+ years experience with server-based, rack, or appliance solutions for data centers, including 2–3 years of complex systems project management.
- Hands-on experience with board-level server hardware and architecture; troubleshooting server/storage/network products.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, AI/ML workloads, and systems hardware (blade and rack servers).
- Experience using advanced test equipment such as sampling/real-time oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- Proven ability to lead internal and external teams to accomplish milestones; strong project management and communication skills.
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology and possible export license review prior to employment.
-
Nice-to-have: experience in photonics; strong knowledge of PCIe, DDR memory topologies, power-supply design, and PCB layout requirements.
-
Preferred tools: proficiency with Cadence OrCAD/Allegro PCB design tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (requires ~9+ years experience); Master’s degree (or PhD) in a similar field with reduced experience expectation (~6+ years). The posting does not list certifications; equivalent practical experience may be considered based on role requirements.
