Senior/Staff Front-End Engineer (RTL Design)
Role Summary
Design and implement front-end RTL for ASIC projects. Work on microarchitecture, Verilog implementation, IP integration, and cross-team collaboration to deliver tape-out-ready designs.
Member of the RTL design team partnering with verification, emulation, and implementation teams to meet synthesis, timing, and power targets.
Experience Level
Senior/Staff - 3+ to 5+ years of RTL design experience on ASICs, including tape-out experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include design, integration, reviews, and collaboration across verification and implementation.
- Participate in architectural and microarchitectural design discussions.
- Implement microarchitecture in Verilog HDL per specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure delivery quality control.
- Identify, select, and integrate soft and hard IP.
- Develop test plans and debug with verification and emulation teams.
- Collaborate with implementation team to close the design on synthesis, timing, and power.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 3+ to 5+ years of practical ASIC RTL design experience with tape-out deliveries.
- Familiarity with industrial RTL design and delivery flows.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and VLSI design.
- Experience with GPGPU, NPU, or CPU module design (work scheduler, memory subsystem, vector/tensor cores).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
