Job Title
Senior/Staff Engineer, Test Solutions Engineering
Role Summary
Develop, debug, and deliver wafer/cube probe test solutions for High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) devices across NPI through high-volume manufacturing. Lead probe test planning, silicon debug, and cross-functional resolution to meet yield, quality, and cost targets.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting does not specify years of experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Own end-to-end development and delivery of wafer/cube probe test solutions for HBM devices.
- Define and drive probe test plans: coverage strategy, defect screening, and test time targets.
- Develop, debug, and release ATE test programs with accountability for manufacturability and quality.
- Lead silicon debug and root-cause analysis across silicon, test program, and hardware domains.
- Analyze probe data to identify yield gaps, parametric shifts, and defect mechanisms; convert insights into improvements.
- Drive probe bring-up for first silicon and ensure production readiness and smooth downstream transitions.
- Resolve probe hardware and system interaction issues (probe cards, load boards, probers) affecting stability and throughput.
- Optimize test time and cost while balancing coverage and quality requirements.
- Align and influence Design, DFT, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve probe-related challenges.
- Mentor engineers and promote best-known methods and standardization of probe practices.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications:
- Hands-on semiconductor test engineering experience, preferably in wafer/cube probe or ATE environments.
- Strong foundation in product testing and semiconductor fundamentals.
- Experience with memory products (e.g., HBM, DRAM) or high-speed digital devices.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and silicon debug capabilities.
- Experience in test program development, debug, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience in NPI, characterization, and production ramp execution.
- Proven ability to take ownership and drive results in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading capability-building efforts.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent practical experience) as stated in the posting.
