Job Title

Senior Staff Engineer, Product/Program Management

Role Summary

Lead and deliver development programs for new industrial and automotive semiconductor products from inception through tape-out and start of production. Act as program manager across cross-functional teams including design, test, validation, manufacturing and supply partners to meet schedule, quality, and cost targets.

Drive program execution, risk mitigation, and process improvements while coordinating stakeholders and reporting status to senior management.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 7+ years of hands-on technical program/project management experience and at least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor domain.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities include managing multiple projects or a large program and ensuring delivery against commitments.

  • Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time delivery within budget.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (design, test, validation, product engineering, marketing, manufacturing, quality, reliability, operations, vendors) to meet milestones.
  • Drive risk identification, mitigation plans, and resolution of technical and program issues.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators and report program status to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Design and support bench evaluation PCBs and characterization programs; perform evaluation, debug, and characterization of ICs against product and manufacturing requirements.
  • Coordinate failure analysis and root-cause efforts for reliability and qualification failures.
  • Work with process, packaging, and test engineering to develop and qualify technologies for new products.
  • Collaborate with global manufacturing and factory partners to address product quality, yield, and cost issues; support product spins and derivatives.
  • Drive cross-group collaboration to adopt best practices and improve processes and tools.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in the role.

  • 7+ years of hands-on technical program/project management leading cross-functional teams for Power/Analog/Mixed-Signal products.
  • At least 10 years' experience in the semiconductor industry (development and manufacturing).
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, development, and program management.
  • Experience with IC characterization, test limit setting, and yield prediction using statistical tools (example: Spotfire).
  • Familiarity with JEDEC / AEC qualification standards and ATE tester platforms (Teradyne, Eagle).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain schedules, and deliver under tight timelines and competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills; ability to summarize technical status for executives.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis tools.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, test, and reliability teams; ability to drive cross-functional technical discussions.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of back-end semiconductor processes (wafer fabrication, bumping, packaging, assembly, test).
  • Experience with characterization bench PCB design and test program generation.

Education Requirements
