Job Title

Senior Staff Engineer, Product Engineering — Media Health Manufacturing (HIG-HBM)

Role Summary

Technical lead in the High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) Product Engineering — Media Health team responsible for driving manufacturing execution and product enablement for next-generation HBM solutions (DRAM die, interface die, stacked HBM). Main focus areas are manufacturing test flow development, yield improvement, reliability optimization, and reducing test time and cost.

Work closely with Fab, Design, Technology Development, Test Solutions, and Product leads to deliver optimized test strategies, improve manufacturing KPIs (quality, cost, cycle time, scale), and mentor junior engineers.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting targets experienced technical professionals; no explicit years-of-experience range specified.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical ownership of test and yield for HBM products and execution of improvements that enable high-volume manufacturing.

  • Define and optimize manufacturing test coverage across HBM architectures and process nodes.
  • Develop, validate, characterize, and qualify next-generation HBM products.
  • Support design validation and circuit-level debug using CAD tools and Verilog simulations.
  • Diagnose root causes for device-, stack-, and process-related yield issues and lead resolution actions.
  • Reduce manufacturing test time and improve test efficiency and cost competitiveness.
  • Contribute to Design-For-Test (DFT) strategy and introduce innovative test strategies.
  • Drive extrinsic and intrinsic reliability improvements through test coverage optimization and circuit debug.
  • Make technical risk analyses and prioritize projects to meet product and manufacturing goals.
  • Mentor and develop team members and support project management within the team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Fab, Technology Development, Design, System Development, and Quality/Reliability teams; leverage AI and automation tools to improve productivity.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviours for performing the role effectively.

  • Experience with semiconductor devices, circuit design, or product validation.
  • Familiarity with CMOS technology, DRAM architecture, and basic device physics.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience with root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics, and scripting tools (example: Python, JMP).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in team-based, cross-functional projects.
  • Clear written and verbal communication of technical concepts in English.
  • Flexible, eager to learn, and able to take ownership of tasks in a dynamic environment.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
