Senior Staff Engineer, Analog Mixed Signal Design

Role Summary

Senior Staff Engineer in R&D responsible for architecture, design, verification and validation of analog and mixed-signal ICs for Automotive Ethernet products. The role covers circuit design, simulation, layout planning, lab characterization and silicon debug while working with cross-functional teams through product development.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Qualifications indicate 3–7 years of relevant experience depending on degree (see Education Requirements).

Responsibilities

Deliver technical solutions across analog/mixed-signal product development.

  • Design and verify high-performance analog and mixed-signal ICs for Automotive Ethernet.
  • Research and develop circuit solutions: architecture, design, simulation, modeling, layout planning and supervision.
  • Perform lab characterization, silicon bring-up and debug.
  • Conduct design reviews and document work products.
  • Collaborate with verification, production test, reliability and quality teams to support product development.

Requirements

Core technical skills and demonstrated hands-on experience. Items marked preferred are not mandatory.

  • Strong fundamentals in analog and linear circuit design and high-speed design.
  • Practical experience designing ADCs/DACs, amplifiers, filters, voltage references, regulators, PLLs, clocking circuits and high-linearity transmit drivers with demonstrated silicon results.
  • Experience with bidirectional analog front-ends and signal-processing concepts (preferred).
  • Design experience in FinFET technology nodes (preferred).
  • Clear verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Education Requirements

PhD (any relevant field) with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or MS in Electrical Engineering with 5–7 years of relevant experience. Field emphasis: Electrical/Electronics Engineering. No other degrees or certifications were specified.
