Responsible for owning critical chip subsystems, delivering production-ready designs, and coordinating across product, test, verification, and manufacturing teams.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires 12+ years of experience in analog IC design in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on leading design, architecture, and delivery of high-accuracy analog/mixed-signal ICs and mentoring junior engineers.

  • Lead design and development of high-accuracy analog and mixed-signal ICs; deliver robust designs meeting specs and schedules (approx. 55% of role).
  • Own critical chip subsystems and act as technical lead for cross-functional project teams (approx. 20%).
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Definition, Test, Verification, Reliability, and Product Engineering to drive product development (approx. 10%).
  • Drive circuit and architecture innovation to improve performance and efficiency (approx. 5%).
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and interns; provide technical guidance (approx. 5%).
  • Prepare technical reports and present complex concepts to senior stakeholders (approx. 5%).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • 12+ years of hands-on analog IC design experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Deep knowledge of CMOS and BiCMOS analog circuit design practices.
  • Proven experience as a technical lead on chip development projects.
  • Strong mixed-signal design and mixed-signal verification experience.
  • Expert with Cadence design environment, simulation, and verification tools.
  • Expertise in device modeling and mixed-signal simulation (Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog).
  • Understanding of DFM, reliability, yield optimization, and production concerns.
  • Experience with parasitics, matching, ESD, latch-up, crosstalk, and IR drop considerations in mixed-signal designs.
  • Analog block and full-chip schematic design, process-corner analysis, and post-layout simulation.
  • Block-level verification including LVS/DRC/PEX; familiarity with chip top-level verification.
  • Experience translating MEMS and actuator models into equivalent circuit representations.
  • Strong documentation skills for design and characterization results; DFMEA experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

Nice-to-have:

  • Production experience and chip bring-up experience.
  • Experience with mixed-signal lab validation techniques and equipment.
  • Experience translating haptic actuator models into equivalent circuits.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage and high-current ASIC design.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related Engineering field (stated requirement). Postgraduate degrees (MSc or PhD) in a relevant field are listed as desirable.
