Job Title
Senior Staff Engineer, Analog Design (Power & Analog ICs)
Role Summary
Senior individual-contributor responsible for architecture, circuit design, and silicon execution of complex analog and power-management IP used in PMICs, converters, battery-management and mixed-signal devices. The role owns block- and subsystem-level decisions from specification through production and drives first-silicon success.
Experience Level
Senior β 12+ years of experience in analog, mixed-signal, or power-management IC design.
Responsibilities
Lead technical design, verification, and silicon delivery for analog and power-management functions; collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
- Define and own architecture for analog/power-management IP and converter subsystems.
- Design and validate blocks such as charge pumps, buck/boost converters, LDOs, references, sensors, ADCs, op-amps, comparators, buffers, level shifters, and protection circuits.
- Architect switching converters and control loops; perform compensation, stability analysis, and system-level trade-offs.
- Drive verification and simulation strategy across schematic, extracted, pre-layout, and post-layout flows; optimize simulation setups and resolve tool/model issues.
- Own or support silicon validation, characterization, debug, qualification, production readiness, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with layout, product, test, reliability, and manufacturing teams to meet electrical, yield, and manufacturability targets.
- Establish and drive analog design methodology, lead technical reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
Key must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- 12+ years of relevant experience in analog, mixed-signal, or power-management IC design.
- Proven ownership of complex analog IP, converter subsystems, or complete ICs from architecture through silicon and production.
- Hands-on expertise with PMICs, switching regulators, LDOs, charge pumps, and related analog IP development.
- Strong understanding of analog feedback loops, control-loop compensation, and converter-architecture trade-offs.
- Experience with references, op-amps, comparators, buffers, level shifters, oscillators, sensors, current sensing, and ADCs.
- Experience with industry-standard schematic design, simulation, extraction, and post-layout verification flows and tools.
- Deep understanding of analog layout effects, parasitics, matching, noise, ESD, latch-up, and IC-level reliability.
- Experience with silicon validation, characterization, debug, qualification support, and production release.
- Proven ability to establish design methodology, lead technical reviews, mentor engineers, and influence cross-functional decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work across global, multisite teams and deliver under tight schedules.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline (as stated in the posting).
