Senior Staff Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for designing and developing digital verification environments and improving verification architecture and flow for SoC/ASIC projects. Works on RTL and gate-level simulations, coverage development and closure, and verification automation as part of an engineering team in Shanghai.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum of 8 years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop verification environments and testbenches using SystemVerilog and UVM.
- Define and execute verification plans; run RTL and gate‑level regressions.
- Develop, analyze and close functional and code coverage.
- Debug designs and assertions; collaborate with RTL designers to resolve issues.
- Improve verification architecture, flows, and automation.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
- At least 8 years of IC digital verification experience.
- Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM, including UVM internals.
- Proven verification experience: test plans, testbenches, assertions, debugging, and coverage closure.
- Familiarity with industry-standard verification tools and flows.
- Basic computer architecture understanding.
- Independent and self-managing with good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Nice-to-have: scripting/automation with Python; familiarity with C/C++/Java and object-oriented design patterns.
- Nice-to-have: experience setting up large (>100K lines) verification environments; DDR protocol knowledge; mixed-signal verification experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (CS) or Mechanical Engineering (ME) as stated in the posting.
