Senior Staff Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Lead verification for memory interface and data buffer blocks, focusing on functional and performance validation for DDR6 and related products. Deliver verification plans, reusable UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches, and coverage-driven regressions at block and system level.
Work with design teams to ensure testability and to drive verification quality and efficiency for high-bandwidth, low-power memory interface products used in datacenter applications.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting specifies Master's in EE/CE (or equivalent) with 7+ years, or Bachelor's in EE/CE with 9+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
Responsible for defining and executing verification strategy and owning verification environments for assigned blocks.
- Define verification strategy, develop verification plans, tests, and coverage goals.
- Design, implement, and maintain UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches and reusable verification environments.
- Integrate and validate at block and system level; verify DDR6 data buffer functional and performance requirements.
- Develop coverage metrics, checkers, and regression suites; monitor and report coverage.
- Optimize testbench solutions for reusability, performance, and ease of use.
- Drive verification process improvements and quality-control of verification artifacts.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to resolve issues and ensure testability.
- Provide regular status updates to management and participate in feasibility studies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies.
- Deep practical experience with UVM and SystemVerilog verification methodologies.
- Proven background in coverage-driven verification, checker development, and verification plan creation.
- Experience developing efficient, reusable verification environments and optimizing UVM testbenches.
- Experience integrating verification at both block and system level.
- Ability to drive verification strategy and coordinate verification activities across teams.
- Strong ownership, communication skills, and ability to report progress to management.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 7+ years of experience; OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with 9+ years of experience.
