Job Title

Senior Staff DFT Engineer - NPU/AI Processor

Role Summary

Design and deliver design-for-test (DFT) solutions for NPU/AI processor ASICs. Work on DFT architecture, test insertion, ATPG, coverage analysis and test verification to ensure production-ready silicon.

Experience Level

Senior-level; requires 11+ years of ASIC/DFT experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define and implement DFT architectures and flows (scan insertion, ATPG, coverage).
  • Develop and validate test vectors; perform transition-delay and coverage analysis.
  • Specify test-mode timing constraints and provide timing fixes for violations.
  • Perform equivalence checks and DFT rule checks using RTL lint and ATPG tools.
  • Automate flows and tools using scripting (Perl, shell) and integrate with EDA flows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams and manage multiple concurrent designs.
  • Support silicon bring-up, debug test issues, and drive yield/testability improvements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience; nice-to-have items noted.

  • Minimum 11+ years of ASIC/DFT experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of DFT concepts and hands-on experience with scan insertion, ATPG and coverage analysis.
  • Experience with transition-delay test coverage analysis and test-mode timing constraint definition.
  • Experience simulating test vectors and performing equivalence checks and DFT DRCs.
  • Proficient in scripting for automation (Perl, shell).
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills; working proficiency in English.
  • Ability to learn new tools and adapt to evolving methodologies in a dynamic environment.
  • Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with Synopsys Genus, TetraMax/DFTMax, Cadence Encounter Test, Tessent or TetraMax.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
