Senior Staff Design Verification Engineer (SoC)
Role Summary
Senior verification engineer responsible for developing and executing SoC verification strategies, testbenches, testcases and checkers to validate RTL against specifications. Works within the engineering verification team and coordinates with design and specification teams to resolve functional issues and improve verification methodology.
Experience Level
Senior - the posting specifies 8–10 years of SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on design verification, debugging, and methodology improvements.
- Develop and maintain verification testbenches, testcases and checkers using SystemVerilog, UVM and C.
- Debug differences between simulated design behavior and specifications; perform root-cause analysis.
- Contribute to and improve DV flows and verification methodology to increase efficiency.
- Independently manage verification tasks and deliverables; mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (specification, design, firmware) to triage and resolve bugs.
Requirements

- Must-have: 8+ years of SoC verification experience with proven delivery on verification projects.
- Must-have: Strong hands-on experience with SystemVerilog, UVM and C for test development.
- Must-have: Scripting experience (Python, Tcl/Tk, Perl) for automation and flow integration.
- Must-have: Knowledge of SoC interconnects and bus protocols such as AXI, AHB and APB.
- Must-have: Strong analytical, debugging and technical communication skills; ability to work independently and in teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with RISC-V, ARM and/or MIPS CPU architectures.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with register description languages (IP-XACT, SystemRDL, UVM RAL).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with functional safety (ISO 26262), fault injection, UPF (power-aware) flows, gate-level simulations, or formal verification tools.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
