Job Title

Senior/Staff Design Verification Engineer β€” Coherent Interconnect

Role Summary

Work on verification of the Arm Neoverse Coherent Mesh Network within the Coherent Interconnect team. Lead verification strategy, develop SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, debug complex issues with architects and designers, and drive improvements in verification methodology.

This role supports interconnect products used in networking, storage, servers, HPC and AI systems.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies 7+ years of hands-on verification or RTL design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain detailed verification plans and strategies.
  • Collaborate with architects and designers to debug and develop new features and balance partner needs.
  • Architect and develop efficient SystemVerilog/UVM-based testbenches.
  • Design stimulus and coverage, debug functional regression failures, and close coverage gaps.
  • Develop and drive improvements in verification methodology and tooling.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 7+ years of hands-on verification or RTL design experience.
  • CPU microarchitecture experience, including cache coherence, memory systems, and bus protocols (for example AMBA CHI, ACE).
  • Experience specifying, creating, and debugging SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random testbenches.
  • Strong debugging skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams (architects, designers, partners).

Nice-to-have:

  • Applied experience with PCIe or Compute Express Link (CXL).
  • Experience with formal verification techniques or scripting (Python, Perl).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science (as listed in the posting).
