Senior Staff Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior digital IC design engineer responsible for creating and delivering customer computing, signal processing and NAND flash controller IPs. Works within a small IC design team focused on RTL, verification, synthesis and silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Senior — requires 10+ years of experience in digital IC design with focus on RTL, timing closure and related flows.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include design, verification, and delivery of high-speed digital IPs:
- Design and develop SystemVerilog RTL for customer computing, signal processing, and NAND flash controller IPs.
- Create and maintain verification environments and perform functional verification.
- Run synthesis flows and perform timing optimization and timing closure activities.
- Perform static timing analysis, CDC checks, linting, and power analysis.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews; provide design documentation and specification support.
- Support silicon bring-up and debugging activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers as needed.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Extensive hands-on experience with SystemVerilog RTL design and verification.
- Proven experience with synthesis flows, timing closure and static timing analysis.
- Practical experience with CDC checks, lint tools, and power analysis methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of ownership for assigned subsystems.
- Architecture-level thinking and ability to participate in system-level design tradeoffs.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export-license review.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
