Role Summary

Join the Power Product Group, Performance Computing Power Team in Catania to design and deliver Smart Power Stages and Power Management ICs (PMICs). The role covers transistor-level analog and mixed-signal design, product definition support, and collaboration with verification, layout, test, and system teams.

Experience Level

Senior - minimum 8+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.

Responsibilities

Primary engineering responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration areas.

• Design low-power precision analog and mixed-signal circuits: voltage/current references, temperature sensors, current sensing, amplifiers, comparators, oscillators, charge pumps, DACs/ADCs, LDOs, level shifters, gate drivers, and protection circuits.
• Support design and development of Smart Power Stages and PMICs, including testability and product definition input.
• Perform circuit simulations and analysis to optimize performance, stability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with digital design, layout, verification, test, validation, applications, and product engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Support test and validation activities and work with application engineers to resolve system-level issues.
• Occasional travel as required to support projects and cross-site coordination.

Requirements

Must-have skills and competencies for successful performance in this role.

• 8+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design focused on power management.
• Strong knowledge of analog design principles, including signal processing and power-management topologies.
• Expertise in transistor-level design and circuit analysis.
• Proficiency with Cadence design tools.
• Solid understanding of feedback and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Good written and spoken English and effective communication/interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with DC‑DC switching converter design.
• Experience with advanced process technologies (CMOS, BiCMOS, BCD).
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and compliance requirements.

Education Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
