Role Summary

Technical lead within the Power product group responsible for designing and owning complex analog IPs and sub-systems for PMICs and DC-DC converters. The role combines hands-on circuit design, system-level trade-offs, silicon bring-up, and people leadership for a small engineering team.

Experience Level

Senior — requires 12+ years of analog circuit design experience and demonstrated technical leadership.

Responsibilities

The engineer will take technical ownership for analog blocks and converters across IC development from specification to production.

• Design and own complex analog IPs: charge pumps, buck/boost converters, LDOs, oscillators, temperature sensors, current sense, SAR ADCs, bandgaps, op-amps, comparators, level shifters, and protection circuits.
• Implement and compensate control loops and analog feedback; perform error budgeting and trade-offs between compensation strategies.
• Derive block-level specs from top-level chip requirements and independently deliver complete switching converters and LDOs.
• Select and implement control-loop architectures (constant freq, constant on/off time, current-mode, etc.) to meet converter-level specs.
• Collaborate with layout leads from floorplanning through chip-top completion; perform layout-aware design trade-offs.
• Establish and optimize simulation, extraction and verification flows; tune setups for pre/post-parasitic accuracy and convergence.
• Lead silicon bring-up, debug silicon issues, support qualification and transfer ICs to production.
• Set up design reviews, checklists and methodologies to ensure design quality and repeatability.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage a small engineering team to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Define I/O protection (ESD, LU) and other IC-level protection strategies.

Requirements

Strong technical background and hands-on experience are required; leadership and ownership are essential.

Must-have:

• 12+ years of analog circuit design experience with full ownership of complex analog designs.
• Proven experience in chip design flows: verification, silicon validation, debug and production support.
• Deep practical knowledge of analog layout, extraction and simulator trade-offs.
• Experience delivering switching converters and LDOs and implementing protection features.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior engineers.

Nice-to-have:

• Prior PMIC or power-management IC experience and experience with device-level protections.
• Experience with a range of control architectures and low-power oscillator designs.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
