Senior SRAM Engineer, Circuit Design
Role Summary
Senior engineer on the Full Custom Memory (FCM) team responsible for designing custom SRAM macros for NVIDIA processors. The role focuses on circuit design across performance, area, power, and manufacturability and requires close collaboration with processor architects and layout/mask designers.
Experience Level
Senior - minimum 6 years of circuit design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design SRAM circuits using state-of-the-art process technologies.
- Optimize SRAM circuits for performance, area, and power.
- Collaborate with layout and mask designers to produce dense, pitch-matched layouts.
- Verify functionality, electrical integrity, and robustness of memory macros.
- Develop and improve automation flows, data collection, and analysis to ensure working silicon.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Minimum 6 years of circuit design experience.
- Strong understanding of SRAM and memory design techniques and macro/block development.
- Practical experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell).
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso for schematic and layout, SPICE simulators, and waveform viewers.
- Experience developing and using flows and methodologies such as Static Timing Analysis, EM/IR analysis, and formal functional verification.
- Self-motivation, attention to detail, and clear data analysis and presentation skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
